A college coach’s letter about showcases

About a year ago I wrote a post called the Showcase Dance. I was somewhat critical of the ratings players get at these showcases and more importantly, how some players and parents interpret those numbers. If you have not read that post, click HERE.
The video below proves I’m not the only one who thinks this. I’ve personally heard from a number of college coaches and pro scouts who mirror what is said in the following video.
Like everything else in life, showcases have a good side and a bad side. You can focus on whichever side you want. Just understand that your future coaches may not be as excited about your showcase scores as you are.
