In my opinion, the toughest two things for most coaches to learn is how to be good at using a fungo bat and throwing batting practice. Using a fungo bat will have to be another post.
Throwing BP is one of the most essential skills for any baseball coach. Unfortunately, many coaches just don’t have that skill. With any kind of throwing there are going to be lots of things related to rhythm, mechanics, release point, and footwork that can either go right or wrong. Throwing BP is no different.
However, today’s video deals with a tip that can help coaches who have a tough time developing a consistent rhythm and release point when throwing BP. Learn this technique and maybe your players will want to hit off you instead of run away.
