Teach it to learn it

For you teachers out there, you know very well that the quickest way to learn something is to have to teach it. That’s because to teach it effectively you have to know the material inside and out. You also have to know different ways of explaining it in case you get the dreaded question “I don’t get it.”
To tap into this, have your players teach the game to others. Whether it’s little kids in a camp session or just having them partner up during a drill and have them explain to the partner what it is that they do, forcing players to explain the mechanics of baseball to someone else can have a huge effect on the “student” as well as the “teacher.” Doing it is one thing. Being able to explain it is another.
At the very least, you are teaching your players skills that they can use when they become coaches.
