Great video. For balls that are hit dead center who do you prefer cover the base and what angle would be best to make an effective tag? Thank you for having such an informative website
Left of dead center the 2B covers. To the right of dead center, the SS takes the bag. If it is directly over the center fielder’s head then the SS and 2B just have to communicate on the fly. If there are other guys on base and a run might be trying to score, maybe the player with the stronger arm goes out (SS?) and the 2B stays.
